Start All Programs HP HP SoftPaq Download Manager Properties, add /FORCEHTTP after the closing quote 'C:Program Files (x86)HPHP SoftPaq Download ManagerSoftPaqDownloadManager.exe' /FORCEHTTP. This switch, though a temporary solution is probably not a cure, but it works! HP SoftPaq Download Manager provides a simple way to download software updates for the HP client PC models in your environment. HP SDM can significantly reduce the amount of time it takes to locate and download updates. SoftPaqs can be downloaded in as few as three easy steps from a single user interface after initial setup. May 08, 2018 The Softpaq Download Manager has been troublesome for many over the past year or so. As Priscilla's link mentioned, making sure your using v4.3.23.0 or newer is a starting point so. V4.4.0.0 seems to be working better for me than others have in a while.
